Lifetime Fitness is the discovery for Longevity.
Lifetime Fitness keeps us liking that reflection in the mirror. We definitely do not respond well to clothing that is stretched too tight or not being able to wear what we have in those (by now) well organized closets
1.Start with a fitness evaluation (doctor or other). Check out this article by Vincent Moloney MD on
Aging and Physical Frailty
2.Choose what is fun as well as rewarding. Walking is a great start. Personally, I like to golf. My husband and I golf as much as we can and create vacations involving the playing of golf. A great price on golf balls always helps as we go thru many. (Fun is our game and pro status we are no where near!)

3.Gym or at home is a choice based on time and finances.
4.Personal Trainer can be a series or a one time set up. Some will even come to your home.
5.Take an active role in planning your routine - something too hard will only lead to failure. Start slow and low repititions as well as lighter weights. Like choosing what is right for you in the areas of
Flat Tummy Exercises.
6.Maybe you like yoga or tai chi. These are great for muscle strengthening.
7.At home videos. Still begin with some sort of evaluation.
8.Need support or a loner. You decide what is best for you. Don't be ashamed or scared if you need help or prompting. There are even support groups on the internet. Hey, maybe we should have one of our own???
Lifetime Fitness is a necessary entity to have the quality of life we choose now that longevity is before us. What do you think?
For those who have asked me to find some great videos and support for those of you feeling too overweight and out of shape to start or need that extra push and are afraid to ask. Here is something to start at home..
