Investments are the Clarification of your future

Investments are becoming my favorite area. Once you have put that wonderful Pie Chart together and see exactly where your feet are planted it's time to uproot and soar.

Every year my accountant would tell me what amount I needed to put away for my retirement. I followed the directions without knowing exactly where my future was going.

As this maturing sets in we start looking at all the areas that are sucking us dry of those twenty dollar bills we carry around with us. I don't know when that starts to hit us but when it does, watch out..as we really start cleaning house! Read this article by Quoc Nguyen as this author gives hints on what to do

Before you start Investing So, a few months ago I started working with a fantastic abundance coach. I nicknamed her my "Financial Parent". It was one of the scarier processes of my life. I put every thing about me on paper to be scrutinized and criticized. She gently but firmly advised me 3 different approaches I could take to assure my living style down the road. I started dreaming and goal setting again. I had reached all the goals I had set for myself over the last 20 years and thought that was it. I decided turning 50 should have new meaning. The fun part is thinking outside the box and releasing that creativity that lives deep inside and you know it's there. Changing where my monies were currently was the first area. Many discussions led to moving these monies into better more profitable areas. This change was noticable the very first quarterly report.

Looking at cutting unimportant spending ( I call it being 5 and 20 dollared to death) and overpaying monthly mortgage payments gave me $600.00 more a month for saving and investing. Marilyn Pokorney offers some insite on How To Save Money For Retirement.

The third area involved how long I want to work and forms of residule income. This subject more in depth by clicking to Career Changes in Mid Life

Investments do not only include money, stocks and 401K's. It's creating the time for investments in yourself and what you want to do with your life. We should discuss things like this info offered by C.C. Collins on Gain More Control of Your 401k - What It Can Mean to Your Future

Check out an opinion on Why Women Should Worry About Retirement More Than Men, By Steve Wilcott.
